Junior Three is Complete!
Hi Everyone,
It has been a fun week of camp with these Junior Three campers! We had our first week where we had rain! It was cooler in the first part of this week, with rain and cold nights, but this didn't stop our campers from having a lot of fun in the skills, free time and wide games. We had a few campers that were homesick, but they stuck it out and we only sent one home. We saw God work in the hearts of these campers, with many of the kids responding to His gift of salvation, asking so many great questions about faith and God's love.
Our speaker this week was Jason Hodge from Martensville, SK. He spoke about what it means to be an imitator of Christ and not an imposter. He talked a lot about how God wants us to live, seeking Him in every decision, and speaking love to those around us. We are so thankful that Jason came to speak this week and we are looking forward to hearing him again next week as he is speaking for Teen Camp! Please continue to pray for our campers as they return home, and soon back to school. Pray that the seeds or commitments that were made this weeks will continue to grow.
Our Last of Week of Camp - Teen Camp
Sunday, August 15th is our last week of camp which is Teen Camp. It is hard to believe that we have come to the end of the summer! We have 41 campers ages 14-17 registered for camp. The schedule looks very different from regular camp. Teen campers will do skills, but they get to choose some different skills that are geared towards a teenager. We do some fun activities during the week instead of wide games, like a talent show and a dress up meal.

Our speaker this week is Jason Hodge. This is Jason's second time speaking at Stoney this summer. Jason and his wife Monique are from Martensville, SK and they have two girls. We are excited to see how God will speak through Jason as he shares the Gospel to our campers. Please pray for Jason as he seeks God's leading and speaks His words to the campers this week.
Corn Maze Family Days
We are planning to have our Corn Maze Family Days this year! The corn has not grown due to the drought we are experiencing, but we are planning to have lots of fun down at the camp! The dates are Sunday, September 12th, and Sunday, September 18. Please stay tuned to our social media sites (Facebook, Instagram) for more information.
We missed seeing you all last summer for the Corn Maze, we hope to see you this year!
Prayer Requests
There are several general but HUGE prayer requests that we have for the whole summer:
- Praise for the campers who made first time commitments! Pray for them that they would have opportunity to learn how to grow as they go home.
- Health and safety of the campers and staff. Pray that none of our campers would have problems with homesickness.
- Pray for our Family Fun Days in September, for good weather and good turn out.
- As we are nearing the end of the summer, please pray for our staff as they are heading off to Bible school, university or jobs. Pray that they would lean into God and trust Him to lead them through their lives.
- Pray that God would work in our staff's lives as they work with the campers, that they would rely on God for everything they need especially as the weeks go on and they get tired. Pray that they would get the rest that they need each weekend.
