Junior 3 Update
Hi Everyone,
Junior 3 is complete, and we had a fantastic time with these campers. We had 125 campers this week who were full of energy and excited to be at camp! The weather was great and it was the first week this summer where the Survival Skill Camp Out could actually camp outside! They had a blast last night sleeping under the stars! Unfortunately we had a couple campers go home early because of homesickness and being sick, but one camper came back! We did have a couple injuries this week, a work crew camper sprained his thumb pretty bad. And Jimmy, our video/media guy, rolled his ankle last night. Please pray for healing for both of these injuries. The schedule was pretty much the same as any other junior week. They got to enjoy some night games, campfire, a rock-paper-scissors contest, and all their fun skills during the week!
Luke Bergmann, our speaker for the week, did an amazing job with these campers. He spoke to the campers about how Christ came to save them from their sins, and that when we face bad things in life, we can turn to Him. He spoke about how Jesus died on the cross and when we accept His grace we become a "New Creation". He gave them practical ways to help them when they go home to follow Jesus. Please pray for the new believers, that God would put in place people to come along side them and guide them through their faith. He loves us all so much, when we accept Him, we are His new creations!
Teen Camp
Sunday, Aug. 18 begins our next week of camp. We have about 60 campers ages 14-18 registered for camp! The schedule is very different and fairly relaxed although there are a bunch of extra special activities that the campers do this week.
Our support staff for the week are:
Cooks: Arlene Schmidt (head cook), Blair Enns, Karen Schell, Konnie Schreiner, Mavis Busby
Nurse: Deana Syrenne
This week we have 4 students from Nipawin Bible College coming to help. They will be in the cabins and helping with the program. They are part of a team that has been traveling all summer to different camps and helping out.
Our speaker is Jared Yochim. This is Jared's first time speaking at Stoney. Jared lives in Saskatoon and has worked at several different camps. He is passionate about his faith and about sharing God's love to others.

Prayer Requests
There are several general but HUGE prayer requests that I have for the whole summer:
- Pray that these campers would have encouragement to continue in their faith while at home.
- Pray that the staff would continue to have energy and stamina to finish this last week.
- Pray for our staff as they go back to university/college or to jobs this fall. Pray that they continue to share the love of Christ with everyone they meet and that they stay faithful and committed in their walks with the Lord.
- Pray for Jason Leo's dad, Harold Leo. Harold had a stroke on Wednesday night. He is in stable condition and is going through therapy. Please pray for healing.
Well I think that’s it for this update. Thanks again for your prayers.
