Junior Hi 2, Family Camp & Squirt Camp Completed !
Hi Everyone,
It has been a crazy two weeks of camp! I am sorry for not getting a update out in the last two weeks, but we had fun with our Junior Hi 2 campers, Family camp on the weekend and we are just wrapping up Squirt Camp! The Junior Hi 2 campers had a great week, enjoying a very hot week of weather and participating in all the fun activities. We had Kaitlin Giddings speak in the chapel sessions, and she talked about finding our purpose in Jesus Christ. We saw the Holy Spirit work in the hearts of these campers, with 9 campers committing their lives to following Jesus and several campers recommitted their lives as well! Praise God for these new believers in Christ!
Family Camp was held on the August long weekend, and we had 14 families come join us for a fun and relaxing weekend. We had Tanner Hnidey from Lloydminster come and speak in our chapel sessions, where he talked about God's law. We had a lot of fun hanging out at the beach, swimming, pontoon boat rides, and jumping off the Tizzy Tower with these families!
Squirt Camp started on Tuesday, Aug 3rd. We had 110 little squirt campers come to camp this week! These little guys and girls have sooo much energy and they enjoy doing every activity we have at camp. The schedule changes for squirt camp, we run a rotation of most of our skills so the campers get a taste of what skills are like for a Junior camp. It was a short week, but we had so much fun with these little squirts! Our speaker was Monique Hodge from Martensville, SK. Her husband Jason spoke at camp in 2019, but this is her first time speaking at Stoney. She did a fantastic job sharing the Gospel with these campers, always asking questions and helping them find different passages in their Bibles. Thank you for continuing to pray for our campers as they go back to their homes.

Junior 3 is About to Begin!
Sunday, August 8th is the start of our next week of camp which is Junior 3. We have 107 campers ages 8-11 registered for camp. The schedule will look pretty much the same as previous Junior camps, campers will get to enjoy three skills, free time/tuck, wide games, chapel and of course the great food!

Our speaker this week is Jason Hodge. This is Jason's second time speaking at Stoney. Jason and his wife Monique are from Martensville, SK and they have two girls. We are excited to see how God will speak through Jason as he shares the Gospel to our campers. Please pray for Jason as he seeks God's leading and speaks His words to the campers this week.
Corn Maze Family Days
We are planning to have our Corn Maze Family Days this year! The corn has not grown due to the drought we are experiencing, but we are planning to have lots of fun down at the camp! Tentatively, the dates are Sunday, September 12th, and Sunday, September 18. More details to come soon!
We missed seeing you all last summer for the Corn Maze, we hope to see you this year!
Prayer Requests
There are several general but HUGE prayer requests that we have for the whole summer:
- Praise for the campers who made first time commitments! Pray for them that they would have opportunity to learn how to grow as they go home.
- Health and safety of the campers and staff. Pray that none of our campers would have problems with homesickness.
- Pray for our Family Fun Days in September, for good weather and good turn out.
- We still have room for more campers. Pray that God would fill the camp and we would have more opportunities to share the Gospel. We have room in Teen Camp.
- Pray that God would work in our staff's lives as they work with the campers, that they would rely on God for everything they need especially as the weeks go on and they get tired. Pray that they would get the rest that they need each weekend.
